To Be Black in White America explores the politicization of the Black Identity in the United States. From legalized slavery to the most recent, hateful thing that Donald Trump said, a minority of Americans have been desperately and diligently fighting against a White power structure for equality throughout the nation’s relatively short history. Some of the twelve artists in the exhibit will give a talk about their artwork on July 24 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. at Galerie Myrtis, 2224 North Charles Street, Baltimore, Md. 21218.
