Music is like a way of life for me

first_imgRead to know what Jubin Nautiyal has to say about the project, his approach towards music and a lot more: Coming from a small town, what have been your aspirations from music as a career? Music has been more like a way of living life for me. Even if I was not as big as I am now, even if was working in a corporate office, I would still be singing as a hobby. So the idea of pursuing music as a profession was a generic thought. Do you follow a fixed pattern of how a song has to be sung, or try, improvise and modify it at the time of your performance? Also Read – ‘Terminator: Dark Fate’ has James Cameron’s fingerprints all over it: Arnold SchwarzeneggerWhen I go inside the studio to dub a song, I completely leave myself outside. I enter inside as a clean slate. I am not stuck on how I want to sing. Whenever I am working with composers, usually they give me a lot of freedom because they are obviously working with me for my style of singing. But I definitely try to understand how they are composing the song, how they are hearing it, which makes a lot of difference. ‘Cinema shapes the outlook of society’, do you believe it is true for music too? Do you think with music you can bring a change? Also Read – Salman pays tribute to Vinod Khanna on ‘Dabangg 3’ wrap upI believe many times music shapes the outlook of cinema. There are so many films made nowadays that are based on music. There are so many projects for which the director scores the music before going ahead with the script. So, it all goes hand in hand. Sometimes lyrics come first or the melody does. What matters is how everything blends together as a product. What’s new for the fans in your new MixTape project? This time, I have collaborated with Abhijit Vaghani and Shirley Setia. We have recreated three songs – ‘Ik Vaari’, ‘Tum Ho Toh’ and ‘Nadaan Parindey’. They all are nicely composed and we had fun shooting them. I hope my fans enjoy the presentation and music too. What do you feel about T-series’ initiative of recreating songs? I feel T-series’ MixTape is a new way to see Bollywood music all over again. In a time where recreations are enjoyed and celebrated, T-series is bringing about some songs which have had a crazy run when they were released. But again it is coming with such a different expression altogether, with different artists creating its own niche. It’s a unique concept. What are your future plans? I have always been an independent artist. So, this year I want to give some time to independent music.last_img read more

The Cubs Curse Is Now More Likely To End Than To Continue

The Cubs Curse Is Now More Likely To End Than To Continue

With an 8-4 victory in Los Angeles Thursday night, the Chicago Cubs took a 3-2 NLCS lead over the LA Dodgers and now head back to Chicago just one win away from the World Series. According to FiveThirtyEight’s Elo prediction model, the Cubs have an 81 percent chance of capturing the franchise’s first pennant since 1945. And with a 51 percent probability of winning the World Series, Chicago is now more likely than not to end its 108-year drought and celebrate a title for the first time since 1908.Of course, Cubs fans have heard some version of this before. The team entered Game 6 of the 2003 NLCS under the same conditions — up three games to two, needing only to win one of the next two games (both at Wrigley Field) to clinch the pennant — but then disaster struck. They also led the 1984 NLCS two games to none, needing to win only one of the next three games in San Diego to advance (back when the league championship series used a best-of-five format). That advantage conferred an even greater pennant probability184 percent, according to a basic calculation that just looks at home-field advantage and the number of games remaining at each location. than Chicago has now or had in 2003,279 percent in both cases, according to the same measure we looked at for 1984. and they still managed to blow it. So Chicagoans can be forgiven if they’re not booking travel to Cleveland quite yet.And if the Cubs’ championship dreams end up being deferred to a 109th year, it’ll probably be because of the Dodgers’ pitching trio of Clayton Kershaw, Kenley Jansen and Rich Hill. According to Elo’s starting-pitcher rating component, Kershaw is the best starter in baseball by a mile — he boosts LA’s Elo rating by a whopping 71 points when he takes the mound — and he’ll try to help the Dodgers stave off elimination Saturday night. Hill, LA’s starter for a potential Game 7, is no slouch either: He ranks 14th among starting pitchers in our ratings. And for his part, Jansen, the Dodgers’ closer, has completely shut down the Cubs when called upon in the NLCS so far, notching 16.2 strikeouts per 9 innings over a couple of multi-inning appearances. The Cubs will counter with their own aces — Game 6 starter Kyle Hendricks ranks seventh in Elo, and they’ll likely send 18th-ranked Jake Arrieta to the hill in Game 7 — but Chicago’s fate might come down to how well its lineup hits LA’s star pitchers. Although the Cubs’ offense has been incredibly uneven in this series, scoring eight or more runs in each of the team’s three wins and zero in each of its two losses, the common threads in those scoreless games have been that either Kershaw or Hill took the mound as the starter, and Jansen (who appeared in both games) came in to close it out. Before Chicago can pop champagne in Wrigley’s spacious, newly renovated locker room, they’ll probably have to score some runs off the Dodgers’ aces. But for now, the Cubs find themselves in a good spot. They’ve been the talk of baseball all season long; now they’re closer than ever to fulfilling their potential and ending the franchise’s absurdly long dry spell. AssouEkotto goes after Mbappé over his African heritage

AssouEkotto goes after Mbappé over his African heritage

first_imgCameroon international Benoit Assou-Ekotto, publicly went after French young star Kylian Mbappé due to his choice to play for France as an African player.Earlier this year, Cameroon international Benoit Assou-Ekotto came after Kylian Mbappé for choosing to play for France instead of the African country. The Cameroonian full-back who played for Tottenham Hotspur was actually born in France, but he has blood from Algeria as well as Cameroon and he decided to play for one of those two national teams throughout his career. But players who have parents born in African countries, often choose to represent the French National Team instead of their heritage, just like Kylian Mbappé and nearly 80% of the squad that won the World Cup. But people like Ekotto don’t like how many of those players brag about their roots, and yet they decided to turn their back on those countries to seek glory for France. Right after the summer tournament came to an end, there was a lot of backlash by many fans who were having none of it and called them out on their hypocrisy for saying they are proudly from that continent and not even entertaining the idea of making a different choice when asked. France is one of the national teams with the richest heritage diversity in the world, a factor that for many was key for both of their World Cup successes.un lion qui copie un lion devient un singe… V.H… pic.twitter.com/YcWONBFp7D— Benoit Assou-Ekotto (@AssouEkotto) February 26, 2018But people like Benoit Assou-Ekotto feel very offended by the public statements that many of these players make, Kylian Mbappé recently spoke about how he wants to be a part of the development of football in Africa during a meeting with president Emmanuel Macron from France, and Geroge Weah from Liberia. Ekotto seemed to take serious offense by Mbappé’s words and responded by telling RMC that: “European players of African origin who hold Africa in their hearts and who want to help the sport in Africa… blah, blah, blah… while rushing to play for a European national team make me chuckle. It looks good when you have a cause though. Put yourself in the place of the players from Cameroon. You, a French player are going to come to develop us… Stay at home, help your guys in Bondy, in your neighborhood, in your France. Yes, you love Africa, but you never go there. So what’s the story? Yes, you love your wife, but you go out with another. It’s a game I know, manipulate public opinion, blah, blah blah,” said the 34-year old player during a debate panel for RMC.my SatayHouse pic.twitter.com/TTGDBoMcpMRevealed: Florentino Perez’s plan to sign Kylian Mbappe Tomás Pavel Ibarra Meda – September 12, 2019 According to a report from ‘El Chiringuito’, Florentino Perez revealed his plans to sign Kylian Mbappe from PSG next season. We all knew this was…— Benoit Assou-Ekotto (@AssouEkotto) March 26, 2018Although the anger from the Metz player can be understood to a certain level, Kylian Mbappé was born in France and as such he is a Frenchman with the freedom to pick the country he wants to represent. Ekotto’s case actually is more directed at players who were born in African countries and still decided to play for France, but players like Pogba, Kante, or Mbappé don’t have to explain themselves to anyone and much less this player who clearly could use a hug. But then again if you stop for a minute to think about it, if all the players with African heritage decided to play for those countries, maybe we would have stronger national teams from all around the continent and competitions like the World Cup would be far more exciting than they already are. Kylian Mbappé does identify himself as a Frenchman from Paris, one who was bred in the streets of Bondy and learned everything he knows from that place. There is nothing in sports that make people more proud, than watching a player you grew up with triumph with the country he represents. Kylian Mbappé’s friends must be very proud of them, even if Benoit Assou-Ekotto isn’t.LIVERPOOL ✈️ pic.twitter.com/9cay1iUWSB— Kylian Mbappé (@KMbappe) September 17, 2018What do you think about Mbappé and Ekotto’s disagreement?
