first_imgSeniors had a good win in the Div 3 League away to Naomh Columba. The Reserves can count themselves unlucky after battling hard to lose at the end. Well done to all the lads and management team. Under 16 Training is underway and all players are asked to attend training. Congratulations to our neighbours who ran a very successful Vintage Day last sunday with visitors from all over the country descending on Trummon. This event was excellently organised a a big well done to all involved.  Both our Adult teams travel to Carndonagh on Monday evening. Umpires and Linesmen are required and club members that havent manage to travel this year so far are asked to make the effort this weekend. Please note that the Main Pitch no 1 is closed to all activities untill the inclement weather improves. ATHLETICS NEWS: GREAT WEEKEND FOR ROSSES AC AT THE ANTRIM FORUM

first_imgBridget McDyerCongratulations to our athletes who competed in the Antrim Forum at the weekend where Bridget McDyer took silver in the shot and bronze in the javelin, Fodhla McFadden took bronze in the long jump and Thomas Marry was fourth in the shot putt.Well done to all athletes from the Rosses who took part in the Community Games in Milford on Sunday.Good luck to Nicole Boyle who is competing this weekend at the Mary Peters track in Belfast. Ranafast school are holding a 5k this Thursday evening 13th June starting at 7pm.Good luck to Roshine NS, Acres NS and Keadue NS who head to the Aura in Letterkenny for the Cumann na mBunscol Small Schools Athletic Championships.Training at the new track at RSC on Monday evenings is now finished for the summer. Sportshall and Cross Country will be starting up again in later August or early September.A number of our adult club athletes are targeting the Lifford 5K which is on this Friday with a start time of 7.15pm. The course is fast and always draws a large number of runners. Due to the travel distance it is suggested to carpool. With this regard let Aidan Gillespie know who intends to travel and he can forward the list back to work out a travel plan. Entry fee is €10 euro. Club Vests to be worn Fit4Life group in Carrickfinn on Monday and Wednesday at the earlier time of 6pm. Walkers and new members welcome.
