first_imgSource = e-Travel Blackboard: N.J Both Virgin Australia and Qantas Airways have submitted commission determinations to Australian regulators to extend allocating capacities due to expire over the next year.In its determination to the International Air Services Commission (IASC), Qantas requested the renewal of flights to the Philippines, Germany and Thailand for an extra five years as well as services to Japan, Italy and Indonesia.Meanwhile Virgin Australia was focused on maintaining its South Pacific and Oceania allocations, requesting to fully utilise allocated capacity for the majority of each season for flights to the Cook Islands for five years from 12 September next year, as well as full capacity to Papua New Guinea for the same period of time from 12 September 2013.Virgin also requested renewal on services to Vanuatu, Tonga, Indonesia and Fiji.Building its business close-to-home, Virgin Australia also unveiled its new partnership with bus operator, Greyhound Australia early yesterday.Click here for more information. last_img read more
